About Me

Hi, I’m Lindsey!

I’m so happy you’re here and thank you for visiting my small space on the internet!

I’m a Mainer through and through, born and raised here in this beautiful state. I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Science in 2016 and I’ve worked in customer service and hospitality most of my life. I’m now a wife to an incredible husband, mom to two amazing little boys and two beautiful rescue dogs. While knitting is mainly what this blog will be about, some other passions of mine include reading, cooking, baking, drawing, painting and I may include some posts about other parts of my life as well, such as motherhood.

My grandmother knit and taught me when I was young, but I didn’t stick with it. I really took to knitting when I worked in a call center and my cubicle was close to three different knitters. I remember being so impressed with the sweaters one was making, and she could knit without looking! I was looking for something almost mindless I could do between calls to keep my attention and I was lucky enough that my cubicle neighbor was willing to teach me. I never dreamed knitting would become such an important part of my life, but I knew it was something I wanted to learn.

I’ve been knitting nonstop since 2017, knit hundreds of different patterns and even written two of my own you can find on Ravelry and Etsy, both linked at the top and bottom of my site. I’m so grateful that I had someone as patient and kind as Kerry was to teach me back then, and my main goal with this blog is to be that person for you. I want to answer those burning questions and break it down to a beginner level to help you get started.

I hope I can encourage, educate or inspire you in some way, big or small. Please also follow me on social media, all of which are linked at the top and bottom of my site.

I appreciate you being here!

xo, Lindsey Rae
